About Northgate Mall

From its commanding location along Highway 101 in San Rafael, the county's oldest and largest city, Northgate Mall has been a part of the local landscape for 42 years. Situated 20 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, Northgate Mall today features an anchor lineup led by Macy's, Kohl's, a 15- screen Century Theatres multiplex, a variety of specialty stores, services and restaurants, as well as a popular food court all renovated in 2009. Northgate is the only enclosed regional mall and the largest family oriented shopping destination in Marin County. After a dramatic redesign introduced in November 2009, the center utilizes new features that blur the boundaries between the indoors and the outdoors, including a courtyard gathering place called the Oak Plaza, open-air dining areas and an indoor-outdoor food court near the Century Theatres. Northgate offers approximately 725,000 square feet of leaseable area.
